Nigerian rap star Olamide has revealed that his latest hit, “99”, was not originally his. In his interview session with a reputable podcast,he said the record was first owned by producer-turned-artist Young Jonn.
In a recent interview clip rounds on social media, Olamide explained that Young Jonn played the track for him and was advised to feature either Davido or Chris Brown on it. Since the record was never released, Olamide asked for it and took over the song.
His words were clear: “Young Jonn owned ‘99.’ I recommended a feature with Davido or Chris Brown, but since he didn’t release it, I told him to give me the record.”
